Goan Fish Fry

  • 500gms of kingfish
  • 1 medium-sized Ginger
  • 1 Garlic
  • 4 Red chilies/ 2 tablespoons chilly powder (Kashmiri)
  • As per taste Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • One inch tamarind
  • Semolina for dipping
  • Coconut oil to shallow fry
  1. Make a paste of tamarind, turmeric, salt, red chilies, ginger and garlic.
  2. Take 2 tablespoons of the paste and apply it to all the cleansed fish.
  3. Dip it in semolina and set it on a pan to fry. Use coconut oil for the fry.
  4. Tip - don't rinse the fish after cleansing in water as it takes away the taste.
