In print edition: April 2021

[Bangalore, INDIA] – Harnessing the power of research and technology, Alltech, a leading animal nutrition and technology company, is proud to announce the launch of Bioplex ® Aqua Boost, a new addition to its line of mineral management solutions.

“We are proud to revolutionize the aqua industry by adding Bioplex Aqua Boost to our ever- popular Bioplex mineral offerings,” said Dr. Aman Sayed, Alltech’s managing director of India and regional director of South Asia, at the official virtual launch of Bioplex Aqua Boost on 6 April. “The contagious curiosity to understand what exactly fish and shrimp need for their development has fuelled this innovation, and the product is now available on the market at a competitive price.”

Bioplex Aqua Boost is a highly bioavailable, chelated organic trace mineral and macro mineral pack designed for better water solubility. Each of the 10 important minerals provided in this unique product plays vital role in the production and productivity of shrimp and fish.

While a wealth of information about the mineral requirements of land animals has been accumulated over the years, much less is known about the trace mineral requirements of fish and shrimp. Utilizing to its more than 30 years of research studying sustainable and economically viable solutions for improving animal health and performance, Alltech developed this new product, which suits India’s modern aquaculture systems.

“At Alltech, our mission is to improve the health and performance of people, animals and plants through nutrition and scientific innovation,” said Steve Elliott, global director of Alltech’s Mineral Management platform. “Alltech’s Mineral Management program focuses on minerals that are better absorbed, stored and utilised by fish and shrimp. Bioplex has been our flagship brand for minerals. With proven technology and tested results, this new product, Bioplex Aqua Boost, will strengthen the mineral portfolio of Alltech.”

To ensure maximum mineral bioavailability, Alltech provides organic minerals in the form of Bioplex ® by using chelation technology, which, over the years, has become one of the company’s most significant brands. Bioplex ® trace minerals are presented to the animal in a way that is comparable with the natural organic state in which minerals are found in plants.

As one of the leading organic trace mineral manufacturers in the world, Alltech assures the quality of the minerals included in its products by integrating the external and internal testing of raw materials and finished products through its unique Q+™ (Quality Plus) program, which assures the quality, safety and performance of every batch in its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at Pune.

The launch of Bioplex Aqua Boost featured presentations from other Alltech representatives, including John Sweetman, the company’s international aqua projects manager, and Henry Wong, commercial director of regional sales, who both spoke about the role of minerals in fish and shrimp farming. Additionally, Dr. Sudhakar Govindam, senior regional manager for aqua in India, discussed how Bioplex Aqua Boost is unique and how it will be significant for the Indian aquaculture sector. Farmers, Alltech’s aqua distributors and dealers from the region were invited to attend the virtual launch.
